MAY I BE BRAVE ENOUGH TO SPEAK MY TRUTH

Selected works of Shabazz Larkin
Curated by Clarence Edward

February 1 - March 21

An extension of Shabazz Larkin’s circulated collection from The Museum of Presence, these works explore the human body as a canvas for protest and storytelling. Echoing the spirit of the Civil Rights Movement, Shabazz’s woven blankets and paintings subtly address themes of resistance and global unrest, while integrating elements of hip-hop culture to reflect on historical and contemporary struggles.

HAMID RAHMANIAN

Song of the North

April 19 & 20

”The Persian soul and culture vibrate in this original and poetic show…An innovative fairy tale.”

Toute La Culture

The whole family will be enchanted by this vibrant, cinematic performance, which blends gorgeous shadow puppetry with lush animation to bring an epic Persian love story to life.
